Because measuring with the DISTO™ D8 does not simply stop at displaying the measuring results:
Data acquired with the DISTO™ D8 can be immediately transferred to a pocket PC or notebook where it can then be processed for further analysis and documentation. The DISTO™ transfer software included in the scope of delivery is easy to install and can be updated automatically.
Whether you’re using Excel®, Word®, AutoCAD® or one of the many other programs available on the market – measuring data can be transferred quickly and easily with the Disto™ transfer software and problems transferring and storing information are a thing of the past.
A combination comprising a highly accurate distance and 360° inclination sensor open up a whole new field of application possibilities, for example elevation profile measurements, pitch roof measurements or height measurements even without the use of reflection points.

360° Tilt Sensor
A combination of both angle and distance measuring allows you to measure distances where conventional methods would normally fail. This allows you to determine the horizontal distance over obstructions or the height of trees even when there are no reflection points.
Digital Viewfinder
A 4x zoom digital viewfinder and a high resolution 2.4 inch colour display ensure that you never lose track of your target and provide you with all you need to measure long distances both quickly and easily.
Bluetooth®
The integrated wire-less Bluetooth® technology allows complete error-free transfer of your measuring results to your pocket or desktop PC or to your laptop. This allows you to further process your data in Excel®, Word®, AutoCAD® and other programs.
Free Software
The transfer software DISTO™ Transfer is already included in the scope of accessories – it is easy to install and updates automatically.
In addition the AutoCAD® plug-in offers you a comfortable planning and drawing option with the included AutoCAD® software.
Power Range Technology™
Measuring longer distances becomes child’s play with integrated Power Range Technology™. This cutting-edge technology allows you to measure distances up to 100m without a target plate and distances of up to 200m with a target plate without so much as putting one foot forward.
Indirect Measuring
The DISTO™ D8 allows you to determine heights indirectly – even in the case of dangerous or inaccessible buildings. This means that the DISTO™ D8 can even help to save lives.
Ready to use
The Disto™ D8 does not come alone: included in the scope of delivery are a pouch for the meter itself, a hand strap, connectable target plates, DISTO™ transfer software, an operating manual, batteries, safety instructions and a manufacturer’s certificate.
