Microwave measurement processes are dielectric measurement processes where the ratio of the dielectric constant (DC) of water and the material is determined. Even small quantities of water can be easily detected due to the great difference between these two values.

The mobile moisture measurement devices MOIST 100 and MOIST 200 are based on this progressive measurement principle, wherein the water content of most construction materials can be determined without destruction.
