XRS 8612 sub-soil probe
This is a specially developed probe for leak detection in underground tanks or lines and is used together with the XRS 9012. To prevent the highly volatile hydrogen from escaping immediately as soon as it reaches the surface the probe sucks the gas straight out of the ground or the surface covering. This makes it possible to locate even the smallest leaks in pipes or tanks with no digging or drilling.
The XRS 8612 sub-soil probe is equipped with a two-speed vacuum pump. The hydrogen sensor is the same in construction as the XRS 9012. The integration of this sensor means that signals from traced gas are received faster than would be possible if the gas were fed to the leak detector via a hose.
The XRS 8612 sub-soil probe uses the same reliable battery as is used in the XRS 9012. An LED indicates when the battery needs recharging. The battery can be recharged as often and for as long as you want.
The XRS 8612 sub-soil probe has a dust filter and a bypass valve to prevent water from being sucked into the pipe. An LED shows when the bypass valve is closed. The valve can be reset ready for use again at the press of a button.
