Multi-stage filter system for insulation drying units
Underpressure drying using water separators to protect the vacuum turbines against water and coarse particles has been the state of technology
in the field of drying for years now.
The standard method of overpressure drying employed up to this point is nowadays really
only used by qualified firms
in unoccupied rooms.
A comparison between the two methods and additional facts and information can be found
in our guide “Some Interesting Facts about Restorative Drying“.
The underpressure method is not only to be preferred because of a growing sensitization against allergies, cancer-causing microfibres, dusts, asbestos, mites, as well as problems with mould and bacteria, it is in fact absolutely necessary in compliance with §20 GefStoffV (Ordinance on Hazardous Substances) in cases where, for example, mould is present or mineral rock wool has been used as insulation material.
Because when restorative drying is carried out, high concentrations of hazardous fine dusts, microfibres from mineral wool and mould spores and bacteria are inevitably released into the air.
Only fine dust filters used in compliance
with the relevant filter classes can filter these substances reliably and prevent them from spreading!
A perfectly matched filter system separates 99.8% of all particles up to a size of 0.1 microns and guarantees that the process air is cleaned and purified before being recycled back into the room.
Benefit from the advantages of multistage filter chain technology with the individual modules from Trotec…
A combination of Trotec water separators, microfilter elements and compressors makes the installation of an effective three-stage filter system possible.
A Trotec HEPA filter module can also be integrated to form a four-stage filter chain which can become necessary depending on heavily contaminated the air in the adjoining rooms is.
Find out more about the individual system components. We would like to show you just
eight installation possibilities to demonstrate the versatility of the system and convince you of the benefits of the flexible Trotec module philosophy!

MultiQube Multistage Filter System –
more than just the sum of its parts…
Water separator, micro- and HEPA-Filter HEPA filters are perfectly-matched, specially-designed constructions that have been developed by specialised engineer firms with filter surfaces and nominal air flow rates that are just as perfectly matched to the maximum air flow rates of the vacuum turbines of the VE compressors.
That’s why all Trotec filters have a manufacturer’s certificate of approval for use with vacuum turbines with pressure differences of more than 250 mbar!
But the MultiQube multistage filter system can do so much more…
All modules are constantly developed with an eye to the practical applications and complemented with performance-boosting innovations.
The new WA 4i filter cassettes, for example, offer virtually no resistance to the air flow current and the new HEPACONTROL function effectively prevents a reduction of the dry air current due to contaminated HEPA filter elements.
The new, time-saving TTKwic quickaction coupling allows you to install a single main water discharge point for all your drying units while allowing you to achieve 30 to 70 % faster drying rimes thanks to the Efidry automatic control system.
So when you put your MultiQube System into operation you are not only ben efitting from optimum air filtration and maximum air flow rate coupled with increased compressor efficiency, you are also benefitting from the advantages of a longer compressor product life and a sheer endless variety of different combination possibilities which allow you to combine each of the individual modules to suit your own individual demands and applications. And you can rest assured know ing that with the DA 3 you have bought the fastest restorative drying system on the market today !
