Contaminated HEPA filters do not only pose a real threat because they can contaminate the surrounding air, they also prolong drying times and can cause compressor turbines to overheat !
The new HEPA HC filter with its innovative HepaControl status display provides more safety and active contamination protection than passive HEPA filter systems :
When the filter elements are worn out and the filter efficiency is subsequently too low, the HepaControl warning lamp lights up and warns the user that the filter element needs to be replaced.
HepaControl does not require an additional power supply, because the bright LED warning light is powered by a strong, integrated long life high battery.
The benefits of a modular separation of water separator and HEPA filter
Economic viability : any HEPA filter housing that is immovably fixed in a water separator would be automatically contaminated with every operation including 90% of all applications that do not even require the use of a HEPA filter. Such constructions do not only increase the initial cost of the unit, they also crank up maintenance and cleaning costs.
The Trotec module solutions allow you to use the HEPA filter element when and where you need it – and only then.
Handling : a fixed HEPA filter would take up much more space in the water separator and not only make the whole unit bigger and heavier and also significantly more awkward to use.
The individual components of the Trotec-module solutions are compact in design and especially easy to handle.
Flexibility : if fixed filters were used, then you would have to buy a HEPA filter, or a filter housing, every time you buy a water separator. You would then have to use this HEPA filter along with the water separator every time you use the water separator although a HEPA filter is normally only required for one in ten applications. This would not only be extremely inflexible, it would also make little sense from an economical point of view.
When you use the Trotec module solution, you can buy 10 water separators without having to buy the same number of HEPA filters. In fact you only need one which you could then install when and where it is needed.
