Practice-oriented guidelines for the selection of your compact dehumidifier

Recommendations regarding competitive products are often based on implausible room size data that in many cases applies to theoretical maximum values e.g. a room temperature of 35 °C and a relative humidity of 90 %.

In most cases, such values can only be achieved in laboratory conditions, but hardly ever in practice.

The diagram opposite is therefore not based on theoretically derived data, but on values drawn from our long years of experience in the field of room dehumidification, so that you can choose the exact Trotec dehumidifier to suit your real situation.

A decisive factor regarding the selection of the most suitable appliance is the anticipated ambient air temperature of the respective rooms.

Particularly in unheated rooms, where temperatures of < 15°C prevail over longer periods, units with a professional defrosting system and higher compressor performance are required if dehumidification is to be effective.

If small, unheated or cool rooms are to be kept dry, the economical compact adsorption TTR 55 S dryer can definitely be considered as a viable alternative to the high-performance professional compressor refrigerator-type dryers. This field of application is illustrated in diagram segment C.

The diagram segment A shows the appliance suitability of the TTK S models based on room size when the main use is the dry keeping of rooms.

The situation is a totally different one in the case of drying out after water damage or for use in building drying i.e. in areas where exposure to moisture is on a far greater scale. In such cases the room size predispo-sition of the dehumidifier should count for 50%, as depicted in diagram seg-ment B !

We have also prepared a table titled Selection guide for fields of application and room sizes predisposition to help you select the dehumidifier that is best suited to your needs.
