Border Joint Nozzle, stainless steel

It pays to compare – even in the case of equipment accessories that are only needed occasionally…

Slot nozzles are not hard to come by. There are many variations from numerous suppliers. Unfortunately, they don’t always offer what they promise at first sight. In view of the fact that every drying chain is only as strong as its weakest equipment link, it pays to take notice of the small, but decisive details when selecting the correct slot nozzle:

You are always on the safe side with the Trotec stainless steel slot nozzle…

The Trotec border joint nozzle was developed by experienced air flow mechanics and has an optimum air flow geometry. The result: the cross-sectional area of the nozzle exceeds that of the air hose that feeds it, leading to very favourable pressure and air flow conditions.

Furthermore, the Trotec border joint nozzle is fitted with high quality, elastic, cellular rubber seals.

With conventional nozzles that don’t have suitable seals, leakage losses are inevitable if the wall or floor surfaces are not absolutely flat. In contrast, the seals fitted to the Trotec border joint nozzle have a very good elastic recovery value and always adapt themselves perfectly to unevenness in the wall and floor.

Some of the models on the market are designed with a wedge shape for pushing into the edge of the screed. Air flow leakage is inevitable in this case if the wall is not completely flat and the edge of the screed is not dead straight. Conditions that are virtually never found in practice.

In addition to that, there is a risk of noticeable design-related performance losses in the case of larger joint widths and a risk of the compaction of residual screed material when driving the nozzle into the joint, leading to a reduction in the size of the air aperture.

With the Trotec border joint nozzle, the edge of the screed is not relevant, since it is not part of the sealing system. Even wider joints produce a good degree of efficiency, since the sealing system is designed to be used flexibly with joint widths of up to 35 mm and the air flow can then use the large cross-sectional area to the full without hindrance.

  • Practical advantages:
  • Optimum air flow geometry
  • Elastic cellular rubber seals
  • Flexible in use
  • For joint widths up to 35 mm
  • Robust stainless steel construction
  • Angled clamping lugs with low
    displacement volume
Trust the advantages of a strong brand
when it comes to accessories too:

Trotec border joint nozzles are robust, long-life, German-made, quality products with practically optimised construction details and best possible air flow geometry!

Furthermore, the Trotec border joint nozzle has specially angled clamping lugs that don't compact residual screed material when inserted into the joint, but push it aside instead. Due to the rounded shape there is less resistance when inserting the nozzle.

Since the lugs do not lie within the injection cross-sectional area, this is not reduced even if material compaction does occur. Residual material particles in the injection cross-section are washed by the air and do not normally lead to a reduction in the free cross-sectional area.
